When you first setup your Sage 50 on a new computer it processes transactions and produces reports very fast. How large are your list files?

Again, this may or may not help. I’d say the same for 350-500,000 header records or over a million line item records. If the system can’t be kept below these levels with periodic purging, consider upgrading from Sage 50 to Sage 100.

Backups of Sage 50 are very important especially once it starts to run slow or you are getting error messages.
